Seat has updated the powertrains in the Tarraco SUV with the introduction of RDE2-compliant petrol and diesel engines.

The Tarraco 2.0 TDI now avoids the 4% diesel surcharge for company car drivers, making it a more cost-effective fleet choice.

CO2 emissions now range from 143g/km for the 150PS DSG model, placing it in the 31% benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax band.

The 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine in the Tarraco is also RDE2 compliant, emitting from 155g/km.

A plug-in hybrid version with 245PS is expected to join the model line-up shortly.

New 1.5 TSI for Arona

Seat has also introduced a new RDE2-compliant 1.5-litre TSI engine for the Arona. It develops 150PS, making it the flagship of the range.

It can accelerate the car from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 130mph.

Fitted exclusively with a DSG, the 1.5 TSI delivers up to 45.6mpg of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions as low as 140g/km.

Available on the FR and FR Sport trim, this latest addition is said to be the sportiest Arona on offer.
