Kia has updated the Soul for 2022 with a new Maxx trim level and the addition of its new logo.

The Soul Maxx replaces the existing First Edition variant and remains the only trim available.

Prices start at £34,945, or £32,445 when the Government’s plug-in car grant is applied.

Kia reduced the price of the Soul by more than £2,500 in May, to ensure it remained eligible for the grant.

The Soul Maxx features the new Kia logo inside and out. It comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, black leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Two new metallic paint colour options have been added: single-tone Snow White Pearl (as standard) and a new two-tone Inferno Red body with Black roof (optional, priced at £575). Two existing two-tone paint options are also available: Quartz Black with Red and Neptune Blue with Black.

The Soul is fitted with a 64kWh battery, delivering a range of 280 miles on a single charge.

It remains a popular choice, with more than 900 sold in the UK so far in 2021.

First customer deliveries of the Soul EV Maxx are expected in autumn 2021.
