Chinese car maker Seres will make its UK market debut in the spring, when it launches the Seres 3 compact SUV.

The fully electric model will be priced from £29,995.

It's powered by a 163PS electric motor and uses a 54kWh battery, giving a range of 205 miles (WLTP).

Two trim levels will be available: Active and Spirit.

The entry-level Active model comes with keyless start, reversing camera, air conditioning and a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. The top-level Spirit (priced from £31,995) adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and heated front seats.

The car's key competition will be the MG ZS EV and the soon-to-launch Omoda 5.

Seres is a new brand for the UK market. It's a subsidary of China's Seres Group, along with DFSK.

Innovation Automotive is the official UK importer of Seres. The company will also introduce the Skywell brand this year.
