BMW has teamed up with TomTom to offer integrated navigation devices in selected models of 1 series, 3 series, X1 and X3 cars.
Dealers across Europe can retrofit the TomTom Go Live device which integrates with BMW’s car entertainment system allowing navigation directions and hands-free phone calls to be given over the car’s speakers and temporarily mute any other audio sources.
The cost of the item and fitting varies, but will be substantially cheaper than the cost of an integrated satellite navigation sytem in a BMW, which ranges between about £1,500 and £2,000.
