Telematics company Trak Global has launched an app based driver behaviour and tracking system.

Appy Fleet, which will be officially launched at Fleet News’ Company Car In Action next month on June 14, combines the functionality of established fleet management systems with the latest driver behaviour monitoring platforms Trak Global has developed for the usage-based insurance sector.

Appy Fleet eradicates the more traditional telematics fleet management ‘black box’ and the costs behind installation and maintenance.

Those attending CCIA who use a smartphone and Bluetooth vehicle connectivity, can download the app and trial it for their journey to Millbrook where they will be in with a chance to win a iPad Pro and two hospitality tickets for Club Silverstone for the British Grand Prix this summer.

Alan Cottrill, commercial director and Trak Global co-founder, said: “Fleet management is critical in improving the productivity and efficiency of a fleet and, through our driver behaviour products developed for insurers, we have demonstrated an ability to improve on critical measures such as speeding infringements and accident frequency. Appy Fleet is a natural progression for the business.

Critically, for both the driver and the fleet manager, Appy Fleet ensures total transparency and empowers employees to improve their driving standards.”
