Fleet Assist has expanded with its brand new Huntingdon-based office.

The supply chain management company already works with a number of the UK’s major contract hire and leasing companies and rental operators, and is hoping the location change will add to this growth.

The company launched in 2003 and has since managed over one million company cars and vans across the nation.

Vincent St Claire, managing director of Fleet Assist, said: “Managing a network is more than just agreeing terms; it is about providing a quality network with visibility of data about individual garage capabilities and the transactions undertaken.

“That information allows customers to make informed decisions on where to direct their SMR work to ensure maximum cost control combined with superior customer service.

“The major reason behind the decision to move was to support our long term objective to combine gradual growth supported by us having the right talent in the business coupled with an environment to bring innovation to the market place.”

The company currently employs just under 50 people, and will seek to hire additional staff.

The customers will now be able to work with Fleet Assist’s award-winning software ‘Atlas’. The service undertakes maintenance and repair (SMR) work on company cars and vans.

On top of the analytics it provides, it’s also supported by a contact centre and technical authorisation services.

Fleet Assist has left its former site at Gaynes Hall, Perry, Cambridgeshire. The new offices in Huntingdon will provide the company with additional space for expansion, and a wider pool of potential employees
