Citroen C1 updates include new engine and Elle and Urban Ride special editions

Citroen has updated the C1 city car for 2018 with a range of updates including a new engine and new special edition versions.

All Citroen C1 models will now come with a 72PS VTi petrol engine, which meets Euro 6d-Temp emissions regulations.

Driving assistance features such as Active Safety Brake, Lane Departure Warning, Hill Start Assist, Reversing camera and Keyless Entry and Start are now available.

Speed sign recognition and enhanced infotainment systems with improved smartphone connectivity have also been added.

To launch the new updates, Citroen has announced two special edition models: C1 Elle and C1 Urban Ride.

The C1 Elle is built in conjunction with fashion brand Elle and features exclusive body and interior colours.

It is based on the range-topping Flair model and features automatic air conditioning and automatic headlamp activation. The C1 Elle costs £12,705.

The Citroen C1 Urban Ride offers customers an adventurous look with SUV-inspired styling.

It features gloss black door mirror housings, tinted side and rear windows and a body kit. Touches of grey and orange are used in the car’s interior.

Based on the C1 Flair, the Urban Ride costs £12,225.

The new versions will be available from May 1.
