Numerous studies that have shown the positive impacts that winning industry awards can have on a business and its employees. Even being shortlisted can have a positive effect.

Entries are now open for fleet operators, suppliers and car manufacturers – your opportunity for recognition within the fleet sector and beyond.

Being shortlisted for a fleet category, for example, is about more than a pat on the back for the fleet decision-maker; it’s about raising the profile of the company brand with existing and potential customers.

Organisations who take seriously their fleet safety and environmental obligations are ideally placed to win business – these things really matter to consumers.

Award winners say the Fleet News Awards has helped them to acquire new talent, raise their brand profile and improve client relationships.

Graham, fleet manager, Gateshead Council (Hall of Fame), said: “It is without doubt the most prestigious award of my career. I am deeply moved that I was considered. To be in the company of such great people is an honour.”

Sarah Gilding, head of Joint Vehicle Fleet Management, South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (fleet of the year up to 1,000 vehicles), added: “I would encourage people to enter the fleet news awards, as to win is a great accolade.

“I was immensely proud to win an award, knowing that we have been judged against other fleets in both the public and private sector and recognised for the good work that we do is a great achievement for the team and organisation.”

Also, Stewart Lightbody, M Group head of fleet (fleet manager of the year), described the award win as being “as good as it gets”.

“Fleet Manager of the year award is something to be truly valued as it’s a special acknowledgement of the value you have delivered to your own organisation and benchmarked against the best practice of our varied industry,” he said.
